Every three years, certificants must earn recertification points from activities outlined in the Recertification Guide. Examples of activities include:

Safety Related Courses

RECERTIFICATION SCHEDULE

IASHEP'S  Recertification cycle is three years, beginning on January 1 and ending on December 31. For those just achieving certification, the first cycle is longer than three years. Here are some key things to know:

IASHEP credential holders must show continued competence in the profession to maintain certification. Access the Recertification Handbook for explanation of recertificaiton in full detail.

  • Evaluate and certify and re-certify the competency of the International Association of Safety, Health and Environmental Professionals (IASHEP) qualified practitioners engaged in professional practice in their area of expertise.

  • Raise the competency level of International Association of Safety, Health and Environmental Professionals (IASHEP) members by encouraging the use of management, leadership, effective communication, and system principles to improve their professional practice.
  • Provide “status and recognition” to International Association of Safety, Health and Environmental Professionals (IASHEP) professionals and certified practitioners who meet and maintain certification requirements.
  • Facilitate the exchange the "ideas and lessons learned" of our Members and Applicants of the International Association of Safety, Health and Environmental Professionals (IASHEP) to improve the professions in which we issue credentials.
  • The International Association of Safety, Health and Environmental Professionals (IASHEP) will continue to promote the importance of professional education and collaboration in all certification areas.
Certification Objectives:

The International Association of Safety, Health and Environmental Professionals (IASHEP) offers a broad selection of accredited professional certifications for Safety, Health and Environmental professionals worldwide. 

IASHEP operates as an independent professional credentialing organization that is not affiliated with any other membership group, association, or lobbying body.  IASHEP follows the American National Standards Institute - ANSI / IACET 1-2013 Standard for Continuing Education and Training. 

IASHEP promotes quality in the field of continuing education and training. This includes both traditional and virtual learningexperiences.  The purpose of quality education should be to improve human performance through knowledge, skills and attitudes. The IASHEP certification program is organized around research-based practices that have been proven effective in addressing identified individual, organizational and/or societal needs.

 

Professional Certifications
